Processing knowledge about NM500 wear-resistant plate
·Cutting. Use plasma cutting, carbon arc cutting and grinding wheel saw to cut large-area composite NM500 wear-resistant steel plates into required shapes. The recommended method is cutting with an air or inert gas plasma arc, starting from the surface of the alloy. Carbon arc cutting should start from one side of the NM500 wear plate. If you use a saw blade, you can only cut in a straight line, and it needs a silicon carbide saw blade.
·Bending. NM500 wear-resistant plate can be formed by cold working, or NM500 wear-resistant plate can be curved or round. When the concave shape is formed, the alloy crack will be closed due to the internal stress; when the convex shape is formed, the crack will become larger, which is a normal position. If the crack of the NM500 wear-resistant plate is too large, use the corresponding welding rod to repair it. Press into the tube according to the minimum recommended bend radius.
·Hole opening. The large hole of the NM500 wear-resistant plate can be cut by plasma, and the small hole is recommended to be machined by EDM. Countersink holes for mounting bolts can be cut with plasma or carbon arc.
·Welding. The base material of the large-area composite NM500 wear-resistant steel plate is a steel plate with good weldability. When two steel plates need to be spliced, the back base metal can be welded together first, and then the corresponding welding rod can be filled in the front surfacing layer. NM500 wear-resistant steel plate can also be welded to other steel structures.
