Cold drawing process of A53 steel pipe
1. Raw materials
The raw material of A53 steel pipe is steel billet. When making A53 cold-drawn steel pipe, the billet should be dried firs, this is to remove the moisture and other impurities on the surface of the billet, so that the subsequent processing operation will be smoother.
2. Heating
Billets are difficult to machine at room temperature, so they need to be heated first. Heating will increase the temperature of the A53 billet, making it softer and easier to process.
3. Perforation
This step is to extrude the center part of the A53 billet into a small circle, which will become the inner diameter of the A53 seamless steel pipe. Perforation can be done in different ways, for example by mechanical stretching, rolling, etc.
4.Drawing
Drawing is to elongate the billet along a certain direction and process it into the outer diameter of A53 seamless steel pipe. Drawing requires multiple operations, and each operation will reduce the diameter of the A53 steel pipe until it reaches the required size.
5.Cut off
The last step is to cut the formed A53 steel pipe to the required length, and the cutting tools generally include saw blades, pliers, etc.
The above steps constitute the production process of A53 cold-drawn seamless steel pipe. The A53 steel pipe produced by cold-drawing process has the characteristics of smooth surface, precise size, high temperature resistance and high compressive strength.
