What is ASTM-A106 steel?
A106 steel is an American standard material, including three grades: A, B, and C. The tensile strength of A106 GrA steel is 330MPa, the tensile strength of A106 GrB steel is 415MPa, and the tensile strength of A106 GrC steel is 485MPa. A106 GrA steel is equivalent to domestic 20# steel, A106 GrB steel is equivalent to domestic Q235 steel, and A106 GrC steel is equivalent to domestic Q345 steel.
A106 seamless steel pipe is mainly used in construction, mechanical processing, electrical, petrochemical and other industries. There are two main production processes, one is cold drawing and the other is hot rolling. Cold drawing has higher dimensional accuracy than hot rolling, and the surface of hot-rolled A106 steel pipe is relatively rough. Large-diameter A106 seamless steel pipes use hot-rolled steel pipes, while small-diameter A106 seamless steel pipes use the cold-drawn process.
A106 seamless steel pipes for export must be beveled, painted, and plastic pipe caps added to both ends. They must also undergo commodity inspection and can only be exported after passing the commodity inspection. The main exporting countries include Malaysia, the United States, Thailand, Saudi Arabia, Brazil, Italy, etc.
