A204 Grade A steel is a molybdenum alloy steel plate for pressure vessel steel. Based on it’s molybdenum element, ASTM A204 steel covers three grades: A, B, C. The maximum plate thickness is limited only by the chemical composition to achieve certain mechanical property figure; steel plate and coils under this specification normally limit thickness as follows: ASTM A204 grade A: 6 in[150mm]; ASTM A204 grade B: 6 in[150mm]; ASTM A204 grade C: 4 in[100mm].
