EN 10028-2 16Mo3 Grade Boiler Steel
16Mo3 grade is a EN10028 specified pressure vessel grade chrome molybdenum steel alloy for use in elevated working temperatures. 16Mo3 steel number 1.5415. The DIN Germany equivalent grade is 15Mo3.
The EN10028-2 16Mo3 material is used as a weldable steel in the fabrication of industrial boilers and steel pressure vessels found in the oil, gas and chemical industry. Due to the materials chrome and molybdenum content, 16Mo3 grade has excellent heat resistance and corrosion resistant characteristics.
Grade 16Mo3 plate is available ex-stock in Katalor Industry and the material comes with test certification and stamping. Technical details are outlined in the data tables below.
