What is marine grade shipbuilding steel plate

Marine grade shipbuilding steel plate refers to hot rolled steel for the manufacture of ship structures produced in accordance with the requirements of the classification society such as ABS, LR, CCS, RINA, DNV GL, BV, NK, KR, RMRS, etc.

Marine grade shipbuilding steel plates can be divided into general strength shipbuilding steel and high strength shipbuilding steel according to its minimum yield strength level.

The grade A/B/D/E is general strength shipbuilding steel, AH32/DH32/EH32/AH36/DH36/EH36 are high strength shipbuilding steel. When high strength marine grade shipbuilding steel plate is used in shipbuilding, ship weight is less for the same capacity ships, fuel cost and CO2 emission can be reduced.
