A516 Gr 70 steel export is expected to fall from a high level in the later stage

According to the data released by the General Administration of customs, in March 2021, China exported 7.542 million tons of A516 Gr 70 and so on steel, a year-on-year increase of 16.5%; from January to March, China exported 17.682 million tons of A516 Gr 70 and so on steel, a year-on-year increase of 23.8%. In March, China imported 1.322 million tons of steel, a year-on-year increase of 16.3%; from January to March, China imported 3.718 million tons steel, a year-on-year increase of 17.0%.

In March, the export volume of A516 Gr 70 and so on steel increased by 2.658 million tons compared with last month, reaching a new high since April 2017; the import volume of steel increased by 265 000 tons compared with last month, but still at a low level.
