German steel production fell to its lowest level since 2009

German Business Daily reported on January 22. Germany's crude steel production in 2020 was 35.7 million tons, down 10% from the weak 2019, the lowest level since 2009, the German iron and Steel Association said on Friday.

Kochhov, chairman of the association, said that although there was a slight recovery in the fourth quarter of last year, the transformation of industrial structure is still worrying.
