Hot and cold rolling of S355MC steel plate

S355MC steel plate delivery status is divided into: hot rolling (also known as hot strength steel) : After controlled rolling, the steel is cooled at high temperature, and through the cooling process of natural cold bed, the residual stress and incomplete crystallization structure are eliminated, and the mechanical properties of the steel can meet or exceed the requirements of the contract.

Cold rolling (also known as cold working steel sheet) : after controlled rolling, steel is cooled at low temperature, and through annealing, solution treatment, removal of internal stress, straightening and winding for use by users.

Tempering (or not) : S355MC steel plate was cooled at high temperatures after controlled rolling and was then removed and homogenized during the subsequent aging process.

Welding (also known as hot working steel plate) : S355MC steel plate is cold-formed after controlled rolling or hot-rolled and tempering heat treatment (no quenching, high temperature tempering) to obtain different mechanical properties. It is usually used in large structural parts manufactured by welding method.

Chemical Composition of S355MC Steel plate: This standard specifies the chemical composition, mechanical properties and heat treatment process of S355MC steel plate.

S355MC Steel plate packaging: Hot rolled steel plate is usually packed in plate coil or plate cylinder; Hot rolled steel coil can be handled according to the requirements of the demander acceptance visa, can also be handled according to the requirements of the user unpackaged delivery; Cold rolled steel coil, hot rolled disk strip and pickling plate are packaged in paperback or separate coil, and can be delivered unpackaged according to demander's request;

Heat treatment system of S355MC steel plate:

1. The heat treatment system of S355MC steel plate shall conform to GB5457-1999 standard, among which: A. Heating system: the heating temperature of steel plate shall be 400℃~500℃; B, holding time: according to the use conditions and steel type, generally not less than 20 minutes; C. The holding time should be less than or equal to 120 min; D, quenching system (1) oil or water (2) preheating temperature of 350℃~400℃.

2. Hardness and carbon content of S355MC steel plate after quenching: if tempered at high temperature, its hardness can reach HRC58-62, carbon content ≤0.15%. After quenching, it needs to be tempered twice in annealing furnace and tempering box.
