CCS AH36 steel sheet is hot rolled shipbuilding steel for the manufacture of ship structures produced in accordance with the requirements of the CCS construction society. CCS AH36 steel sheet is usually used by shipyards, shipbuilding companies and dockyards to manufacture hulls of cargo and passenger ships, boats, offshore drilling platforms, gateways and other structures and vessels.

The shipbuilding steel plate can be divided into general strength shipbuilding steel and high strength shipbuilding steel according to its minimum yield point strength level. CCS AH36 steel sheet is high strength shipbuilding steel with min. yield strength of 355 MPA.

Shipbuilding steel differs from structural steel in terms of stricter tolerances. The CCS AH36 steel sheet and so on shipbuilding steels are delivered with the certificate 3.2 which issued in accordance with the requirements of CCS classification agencies.
