Iranian steel production exceeds 1.5 million tons in the first month of the new year

According to foreign media Tehran Times, the monthly output of Iranian steel reached 1.534 million tons in the first month of the Iranian New Year (March 20 to April 19, 2020). IRNA cited the steel data released by the country's steel manufacturers.

The data shows that Iran's first month's steel output fell by 8% compared to the same period last year, compared with 1.668 million tons in the same period last year.

According to an earlier report, in the Iranian year just ended (as of March 19, 2020), Iran's steel exports reached 7.33 million tons, a year-on-year increase of 27%.
