SA517 GrQ steel plate for offshore oil drilling rack

SA517 GrQ is a high-strength quenched and tempered alloy steel plate, which belongs to the steel for offshore oil drilling racks. The upper limit of the thickness of SA517 GrQ steel plate is 150mm, and the upper limit of rack steel is 177.8mm.

SA517 GrQ steel plate executive standard:
Implementation of SA-517/SA-517M standard (completely equivalent to ASTM standard A517/A517M)

SA517 GrQ steel plate manufacturing:
SA517 GrQ smelting process: the steel should be killed steel and should meet the requirements of A20/A20M fine austenite grain size.

Chemical composition of SA517 GrQ steel plate:
C: 0.14-0.21, Si: 0.15-0.35, Mn: 0.95-1.30, P≤0.035, S≤0.035, Ni: 1.20-1.50, Mo: 0.40-0.60, V: 0.03-0.08, Cr: 1.00-1.50.

SA517 GrQ steel plate delivery status: delivered in quenched and tempered state.

SA517 GrQ steel plate should be heat treated: heat the steel plate to no less than 900℃, quench it in water or oil, and temper at no less than 620℃.
