GL grade A steel plate is common strength shipbuilding plate which is mainly used to build hull of vessels, ship body construction. Normally when rolling, air rolled and control rolled is OK for shipbuilding use GL grade A steel plate with the thickness equal and below 40mm. And for thickness above 40 millimeters, normalised or TMCP heat treatment would improve shipbuilding use GL grade A steel plate strength in yield and tensile points.
