The AR400 steel imports of China increased in July

According to the latest data released by the General Administration of Customs, in July 2020, China imported 2.066 million tons of steel, AR400 steel included. It realized an increase of 728000 tons on a month on month basis, an increase of 38.8%, a decrease of 7.9 percentage points compared with the increase in June, and an import volume of 1.73 billion US dollars was realized.

Based on this calculation, the average price of China's AR400 steel and so on steel imports in July was 663.93 US dollars / ton, down 95.07 US dollars / ton, or 12.5%, 0.4 percentage points larger than that in June.

From January to July, China imported 9.948 million tons of steel, including AR400 steel. It was an increase of 3.284 million tons or 49.3% over the same period of last year; the cumulative import volume was 8.66 billion US dollars, an increase of 620 million US dollars, an increase of 7.7%. According to this calculation, the average price of China's AR400 steel and so on steel imports from January to July is 870.58 US dollars / ton.
