The main destinations of China's steel exports in 2020

From the perspective of export destinations, the main export destination of China's steel materials in 2020 is Asia, of which Southeast Asia is the region with the largest export volume of China's steel, and Africa and Latin America are also important destinations for China's steel exports.

From January to November 2020, China exported 33.21 million tons of steel to Asia, accounting for 68% of total steel exports. Exports of steel to Southeast Asia, South Korea, India, Hong Kong, China, Taiwan, and Japan were 15.88 million tons, 5.1 million tons, 1.06 million tons, 910,000 tons, 820,000 tons, 810,000 tons, accounting for 32.5%, 10.4%, 2.2%, 1.9%, 1.7%, and 1.7% of total steel exports respectively.

From January to November 2020, China's steel exports to Africa and Latin America were 5.78 million tons and 5.14 million tons, accounting for 11.8% and 10.5% of total steel exports respectively.
