Vietnam's hr steel coil import price continues to rise 25-30 US dollars / ton

According to foreign media reports, on April 23, the assessed import price of hr steel coil in Vietnam was 950-955 US dollars / ton (CFR, Vietnam), up 25-30 US dollars / ton (mainly for 2-3mm rerolling grade SAE1006 coil and similar products).

According to Vietnamese market news, the mainstream quotation of Indian steel hr steel coil last week has been increased to 960-980 US dollars / ton (CFR, Vietnam) from 950-955 US dollars / ton (CFR, Vietnam). At least two Vietnamese buyers ordered two batches of hr steel coil from Indian mainstream steel plants last week, and the transaction price was 950-955 US dollars / ton (CFR, Vietnam). Compared with the Southeast Asian market, Indian steel mills now focus more on exporting hr coils to Turkey and European markets with higher prices.

A Vietnamese trader said that the price of hot coils is still rising, which is surprising. At present, Vietnamese buyers still have a good demand for imported hot coils. Some traders think that the price of hot rolled coils in Vietnam may rise to US $1000 / ton (CFR, Vietnam) in the short term.
