Vietnam's hr steel coil import price exceeds US $1000 / T

According to foreign media reports, on May 7, the assessed import price of hr steel coil in Vietnam was US $995-1010 / T (CFR, Vietnam), up 45-50 US dollars / T (mainly for 2-3mm rerolling grade SAE1006 hr steel coil and similar products).

According to Vietnam market news, the mainstream transaction price of Indian hr steel coil in Vietnam market at the beginning of last week was US $995 / T (CFR, Vietnam), and by the end of last week, the mainstream transaction price was US $1010 / T (CFR, Vietnam). Last week, Vietnamese buyers ordered at least 30000 tons of Indian hr steel coils.

Last week, one mainstream Chinese steel plant quoted us $1020 per ton (CFR, Vietnam) for hr coil export, while another mainstream Indian steel plant quoted us $1015 per ton (CFR, Vietnam). Some Vietnamese buyers have offered us $980-990 per ton (CFR, Vietnam) for imported hr steel coil, but a Vietnamese trader said it is difficult to order such hr coil at present.
