What should be noted about surface quality of API 5L X 65 steel plate?

API 5L X 65 steel plate surface shall not have cracks, scarring, folding, bubbles, inclusions and visible delamination defects harmful to use, such as the above defects, allowed to remove, the depth of removal shall not exceed half of the tolerance of the thickness of the steel plate, but shall ensure that the minimum thickness of the steel plate allowed, the removal shall be smooth without edges and corners.

Other local imperfections are allowed on API 5L X 65 steel plate that do not affect service, provided that the minimum thickness of the plate is allowed.

API 5L X 65 steel plate delivered uncut shall have edge cracks and other defects not more than half of the allowable width deviation in the width direction and shall have a minimum width of the steel plate.
