Whose yield strength is higher: high strength ship plates or Q345 plate

Whether the yield strength of high strength ship plates or Q345 plate is high, it depends on the thickness specification of Q345 plate. At the same time, there are many steel grades of high strength ship plates. 32kg (yield strength 315mpa) and above are all high strength ship plates.

According to the strength level, ship plates can be divided into ordinary strength ship plates (yield strength is 235 MPa), high strength ship plates (yield strength is 315 MPa, 355 MPa and 390 MPa respectively) and super high strength ship plates (yield strength is 420 MPa, 460 MPa, 500 MPa, 550 MPa, 620 MPa and 690 MPa respectively).

The yield strength of Q345 plate is 345 MPa, and with the increase of the thickness of the steel plate, the yield strength requirement decreases, that is to say, thickness effect. There is no thickness effect at all levels of ship plates. Therefore, the yield strength of 36 kg (yield strength of 355 MPa) and above high strength ship plates is higher than that of Q345 plate.
