Performance of A36 steel plate
Processability: A36 steel plate has good processability and can be processed by turning, milling, drilling, planing, grinding and other mechanical processing. It is easy to perform process operations such as hot cutting and cold bending.
Weldability: Due to its low carbon content, A36 steel plates have good weldability and are not prone to defects such as cracks, pores, and slag inclusions during welding. At the same time, the higher content of silicon and manganese can improve the hardenability and wear resistance of the steel plate, giving the welded joints better mechanical properties.
Strength and hardness: After proper heat treatment, A36 steel plate can obtain better strength and hardness. Its tensile strength is generally 270MPa-500MPa, the yield strength is generally 180MPa-300MPa, and the hardness is generally 85-185HBW.
Plasticity and toughness: The low carbon content and moderate silicon content make the A36 steel plate have good plasticity and toughness, and can be processed and formed with large deformation.
