The characteristics and application scope of 20Mn carbon structural steel: 20Mn steel is high manganese and low carbon permeable steel, and its performance is similar to 15Mn steel. The strength and hardenability of 20Mn steel are slightly higher than that of 15Mn steel, and other properties are similar to those of 15Mn. The application is basically the same as 15Mn.

20Mn steel is a low carbon steel with high manganese content (W Mn 0.70% - 1.00%), its strength, plasticity, machinability and hardenability are slightly higher than that of 15Mn steel. The soft spots formed on the surface of carburizing and quenching are less. It is advisable to carburize and carbonitridize to obtain the comprehensive properties of wear resistance and good toughness at the center.
