Heat Treatment
The maximum thickness of ASME SA204 Grade A pressure vessel plates is limited only by the capacity of the composition to meet the specified mechanical property requirements, however, current practice normally limits the maximum thickness of SA204 Grade A pressure steel plates furnished under 150 mm. SA204 Grade A pressure steel Plate in 40 mm and under in thickness are normally supplied in the as-rolled condition. The ASME SA204 Grade A bolier plates shall be normalized if over 40 mm.
